SOUND MORPHOLOGIES

face_cover.png
An environmental listening project

Sound Morphologies – is an environmental sound listening project combining science and art, knowledge of the near environment and its formation, and listening practices and field recordings. The audience is exposed to different listening techniques while learning about environmental, biological and geological phenomena, how they were formed and how these help define the soundscape of a place. We will expand the capabilities of human hearing at a “listening station” that will broadcast real-time sounds from special microphones located in the water, the air and the earth to designated earphones.

In collaboration with Maayan Tsadka and Shaul Kohn

The project was supported by the Tel Aviv Municipality and the Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts
