BALCONY

A GLOBAL NETWORK OF INDEPENDANT CURATORS

The Balcony network was set up in 2020 by Drorit Gur-Arie (Chief Curator), Doron Polak (Artistic Director) and Michael Lazar (Artistic Director and Development) with the intention of providing a platform for independent curators from across the globe to collaborate on joint projects. The first project, TRANSMISSION/DISRUPTIVE COMMUNICATION was initiated in July, 2020 at the APT Gallery in London, England. Since then it has been shown in Berlin, Paris, Plzeň and Stockholm. It will open in Tel Aviv at the beginning of 2021 at the new gallery of the Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts. The project includes the work of 14 international artists and uses QR code technology to open sound art on mobile phones.

See website for more information about the network.
